Free Workshop for Horse and Livestock Owners
Identification and Control of Noxious / Poisonous Weeds in Pastures & Hayfields
Date: May 21, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Where: At Robin Hill Farm Park (west side of Sequim)

Join the Conservation District and guest speaker Cathy Lucero, Clallam County's Noxious Weed Coordinator, to learn how to identify and control noxious and poisonous weeds. Workshop participants will tour Robin Hill's demonstraion pastures and learn how to identify common weeds. Tips and techniques will be discussed during the walk, including pasture management techniques, for eradicating and controlling weeds in pastures and hayfields. Volunteer Opportunities 

Streamkeepers of Clallam County
Streamkeepers, Clallam County's volunteer watershed monitoring program, is always looking for enthusiastic new volunteers to join existing stream teams or to start up new ones. All ages and backgrounds are welcome, and even if you're in no condition to be mucking around in creeks, Streamkeepers has a role that you can play, such as data entry and analysis, quality control, website and database design, photo archiving, education and outreach. If you want to volunteer they will find a niche for you!
